The Riverside Canoe Cabin is designed for guests who want adventure and comfort in equal measure. Nestled close to the rivers and lakes of the Dordogne area, this cabin offers quick access to canoeing, swimming, and fishing while maintaining the tranquil, restored stone-and-wood aesthetic of Les Cabanes de Jeanne. Inside, the cabin provides a comfortable bedroom, a functional kitchenette, and a living area that opens onto a private terrace — an ideal spot for morning coffee delivered to your door or an evening glass of wine while the sun lowers behind the trees. Raphaëlle and Alban take pride in offering tailored services. Choose optional breakfast delivery or one of the local baskets such as the Panier du Terroir to sample regional produce. For comfort, request a baby kit with a cot and high chair or add towels for the pool in July and August. For couples or those celebrating special moments, options include rose petals, champagne, or massage sessions available on-site. Check-in is between 17:00 and 19:00 and departures are before 11:00; same-day bookings close at 11:00. The cabin’s location makes it a particularly good base for active travellers. Rent a canoe or join a guided paddle to discover scenic river bends and hidden beaches. Nearby hiking and cycling trails lead through rolling countryside and past dramatic viewpoints. Cultural highlights are a short drive away: explore the famous prehistoric caves of Lascaux, the troglodyte sites at Les Eyzies, or the imposing medieval castles that line the Dordogne valley. Whether you come for a weekend of paddling or a longer explorative stay, the Riverside Canoe Cabin balances outdoor activity with comfortable amenities and helpful local hosts. Guests appreciate the blend of nature access, local food options, and the quiet evening atmosphere around the village bar/guinguette in high season.
