Nestled at the gates of historic Sarlat, La Closerie de Sarlat is a welcoming, family-run domain offering authentic Perigord Noir hospitality. Located just 10 minutes from the medieval centre of Sarlat, our property is an ideal base for exploring Dordogne’s rich heritage: prehistoric caves, stunning valley chateaux, and beautifully maintained gardens. Whether you arrive for a weekend getaway or a longer escape, we strive to make every guest feel right at home. Our accommodation includes comfortable guest rooms and a private cabin with spa, designed for relaxation and privacy. Mornings at La Closerie de Sarlat feature a generous breakfast served between 08:30 and 10:00, prepared with local produce to start your day the right way. On selected evenings and by reservation, enjoy our table d'hôtes: apéritif, starter, main course, dessert, and coffee or tea for a complete regional dining experience. We also offer lighter options such as La Petite Table, a gourmet board, picnic baskets, and romantic packages including a bottle of champagne and a private aperitif for two. Our hosts, Mireille and Jean-Christophe, joined their roots from Alsace and Lorraine with their love for the Dordogne to create a warm, convivial atmosphere. They will gladly advise you on day trips to nearby highlights: the Vézère Valley and Lascaux, Les Eyzies and the National Museum of Prehistory, the Dordogne Valley with chateaux such as Beynac and Castelnaud, and renowned gardens like Eyrignac and Marqueyssac. Within an hour you can also visit Rocamadour, the Gouffre de Padirac, and many fortified bastides. Practical information: arrivals are from 16:00; please inform us if you expect to arrive after 18:30. Check-out is by 11:00. Free parking is available, and covered parking can be offered on request and subject to availability. Note that the cabin with spa is reserved for guests aged 18 and over and pets are not permitted in the cabin. La Closerie de Sarlat blends authentic local experiences with calm comfort. The idea of opening a guest house in the Dordogne is not new, it has gradually matured over a period of ten years until the hazards of professional life free us and allow us to transform this desire into a wonderful project for two. Although our roots are between Alsace and Lorraine, it is in the Périgord Noir that we continue our adventure. We immediately fell in love with this magnificent country. Our greatest pleasure today: to make you discover this superb region, its culture, its local products, its inhabitants and its breathtaking landscapes.
