Perched between sky and forest, Cabanes de Labrousse offers an authentic unplugged experience in the heart of Ardèche, only one hour from Valence. Nestled among Douglas firs and centennial chestnut trees, our small village of treehouses invites guests to rediscover simplicity and nature. Each cabin has been carefully built without harming the trees that support it, blending sustainable craftsmanship with rustic comfort. Our nine eco-cabins provide a variety of experiences for couples, families and small groups seeking an unusual night in the woods. Some cabins are designed for family stays with spacious sleeping areas; others are crafted for adventure lovers and require a small climb or the use of a harness to reach them. One ground-level cabin offers easier access for guests who prefer not to climb. There is no electricity or heating in the cabins: this choice restores a deeper connection with the natural rhythm of the day and night. Guests are advised to bring warm clothing; linen and sleeping bag rental is available on site. Each morning a breakfast basket is delivered to the foot of your tree, and evenings can be enhanced with our locally sourced meal baskets—crafted from regional products including chestnut terrine and artisan ravioles. Activities on site and nearby include guided hikes, VTT and marked trails, a 12 km electric off-road scooter circuit, wooden games for families, treasure hunts for children, plus canoeing, accrobranche and visits to local attractions such as Mont Gerbier de Jonc and the cooperative Ardelaine. For a short private indulgence, a privatized SPA session is available for up to four people. Hosts Cécile and Steph welcome visitors with warmth and authenticity. They will help tailor your stay, from picnic baskets to guided rides. Note practical information: arrivals 16:00–18:00, departures before 11:00, reservations for same-day arrivals close at midnight, and pets are not accepted.
