The Family Nest at Cabanes de Labrousse is designed for families who want to share a genuine treehouse experience without giving up simple comforts. Situated high enough to enjoy sweeping views over the surrounding valleys, this cabin balances space and intimacy, allowing parents to relax while children explore nearby trails and games. Built with respect for the supporting chestnut and Douglas fir trees, the Family Nest keeps ecological principles at heart. There is no electricity inside the cabin, which encourages evening storytelling by lantern light and a natural rhythm of sleep. Bedding and linen rentals are available on site. Each morning, a breakfast basket is delivered to the foot of your tree so you can enjoy a relaxed, forest-side start to the day. Meals can be ordered in the evening: choose our Panier du Cabaneur with artisan charcuterie, gratin of ravioles and chestnut-flavored desserts, or request the childrens' option for kid-friendly portions. Guests can also build a picnic for daytime outings to nearby lakes and waterfalls. Onsite activities geared to families include wooden games, board games at the reception area, and treasure trails in the forest. The Family Nest is also a convenient base for local excursions: easy walks, VTT circuits and the 12 km electric off-road scooter route. Nearby attractions such as the Mont Gerbier de Jonc and village visits add cultural variety to your stay. Hosts Cécile and Steph provide warm, hands-on service and can assist with arranging family-friendly activities. Practical details: arrivals between 16:00 and 18:00, departures before 11:00, same-day reservations close at midnight. Pets are not allowed.
