Nestled at 120 Impasse de la Noyeraie in Saint Geniès, Ferme de la Blogeonie offers a calm and authentic escape in the heart of the Périgord Noir. Just 10 minutes from Sarlat-la-Canéda and the famous Lascaux caves, our farm combines rural charm with carefully designed comfort to create a memorable stay for couples, families, and nature lovers. Our signature treehouse is perched seven metres above the ground and invites guests to reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort. Wake to birdsong, sip coffee while watching the sunrise, and relax in a heated spa available all year. The surrounding countryside and nearby Flow Vélo route — only 500 metres from the cabin — provide excellent opportunities for cycling, walking, and exploring the Dordogne landscape. Hosts Marc and Virginie bring a unique story and skill set to the farm. Former nurserymen in Brittany, they transitioned in 2020 to a life focused on beekeeping and artisanal production. Marc manages a hundred productive hives, while Virginie transforms fruits, walnuts, and honey into homemade pastries and farm-made treats available on request. Their warm hospitality and local expertise will help you discover the best of the region — from seasonal truffle markets to weekly farmers’ markets. Food lovers will enjoy local markets in Saint Geniès and Sarlat, with options ranging from fresh produce and foie gras to summer gourmet evenings at the Market Gourmand. For outdoor enthusiasts, canoe and kayak trips on the Dordogne or Vézère rivers, scenic hikes, and cultural visits to medieval villages and prehistoric sites are within easy reach. Practical details: pets are not accepted, same-day reservations close at 11:00, arrival is between 17:00 and 19:00, and departures are before 10:30. Optional local dining choices include a Périgourdine salad and an apéritif plate for two, prepared with farm-fresh ingredients. Experience a genuine farm stay that blends rural living, regional flavors, and thoughtful comfort. Book your stay at Ferme de la Blogeonie and discover the Périgord Noir from a peaceful, elevated vantage point.

Virginie et marc
Formerly nurserymen in Brittany, specializing in the production of roses and fruit trees, we decided in 2020 to change everything and convert. Marc turned to beekeeping, and today manages around a hundred beehives in production. For her part, Virginie transforms the farm's produce - fruit, nuts, honey... - into homemade pastries available to order. We look forward to sharing our world with you!

Just 500m from your cabin, you can reach the Flow Vélo:
An inspiring itinerary
At the gateway to the South-West, this chic and bucolic 400 km-long cycle route links Sarlat-la-Canéda in the Dordogne to Ile d'Aix in Charente-Maritime. After an incursion into the Parc Naturel Régional du Périgord Limousin, it reaches Angoulême, before flirting with the Charente River in a setting of vineyards. Along the way, Cognac, Saintes and Rochefort are all "Art and History" stops... before embarking for Ile d'Aix, the pearl of the estuary. Inhale, breathe, pedal... on the Flow Vélo®.
To help you make the most of your stay, we offer a range of optional packages.
During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 11pm, a night market with on-site open-air catering completes the annual market with its friendly, country feel.
Producers cook their produce and offer meals on site or to take away.
Since summer 2020, the market has been held in the Lavoir parking lot at the bottom of the village.
Annual Sunday market
On the Place de la Libération in the center of the village, a weekly market enlivens local life and commerce all year round, every Sunday morning from 9am to 1pm.
Here you'll find all the regional produce that characterizes the Périgord Noir region (foie gras, farmhouse preserves, fruit and vegetables, dairy products, etc.) offered by local producers.
Other local and international merchants offer a wide range of food, bazaar and other products.
Truffle market from December to February Sunday mornings
In the town hall meeting room.
