Perched seven metres above the ground at Ferme de la Blogeonie, this treehouse cabin offers a singular blend of rustic charm and refined comfort. Ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway or travelers who want an intimate encounter with the Périgord Noir countryside, the cabin delivers privacy, panoramic views, and a genuine farm atmosphere. The highlight is the heated spa, available all year, where guests can unwind beneath the sky after a day of exploring. The cabin is thoughtfully equipped to maximise comfort while preserving its natural appeal. Large windows invite daylight and nature into the living space, and outdoor seating areas offer tranquil spots for morning coffee or evening star-gazing. Guests at the treehouse can enjoy optional local dining choices prepared by the hosts: a traditional Salade Périgourdine and an apéritif plate for two, both made with farm-fresh ingredients. For breakfast and treats, Virginie prepares homemade pastries from the farm’s fruits, walnuts, and honey — perfect for a slow morning in the treetops. Marc and Virginie, the owners, bring hands-on experience to the guest experience. Former nurserymen who reinvented their life in 2020, Marc now manages around one hundred productive beehives, while Virginie focuses on transforming the farm’s harvest into artisanal pastries. Their knowledge of local producers, markets, and seasonal events makes them excellent guides for discovering the region. Practical information for guests: pets are not accepted. Same-day reservations close at 11:00. Check-in is between 17:00 and 19:00, and check-out is before 10:30. The cabin is located only a 10-minute drive from Sarlat-la-Canéda and the prehistoric Lascaux caves, and just 500 metres from the Flow Vélo route — an excellent start point for cycling tours through the Dordogne countryside. Nearby markets and activities enrich the stay: weekly farmers’ markets in Saint Geniès and Sarlat, summer Market Gourmand evenings, winter truffle markets, and canoe or kayak trips on the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. Whether you come for relaxation, gastronomy, or outdoor adventure, the treehouse cabin at Ferme de la Blogeonie provides a memorable base to explore the Périgord Noir.

Virginie et marc
Formerly nurserymen in Brittany, specializing in the production of roses and fruit trees, we decided in 2020 to change everything and convert. Marc turned to beekeeping, and today manages around a hundred beehives in production. For her part, Virginie transforms the farm's produce - fruit, nuts, honey... - into homemade pastries available to order. We look forward to sharing our world with you!

Just 500m from your cabin, you can reach the Flow Vélo:
An inspiring itinerary
At the gateway to the South-West, this chic and bucolic 400 km-long cycle route links Sarlat-la-Canéda in the Dordogne to Ile d'Aix in Charente-Maritime. After an incursion into the Parc Naturel Régional du Périgord Limousin, it reaches Angoulême, before flirting with the Charente River in a setting of vineyards. Along the way, Cognac, Saintes and Rochefort are all "Art and History" stops... before embarking for Ile d'Aix, the pearl of the estuary. Inhale, breathe, pedal... on the Flow Vélo®.
To help you make the most of your stay, we offer a range of optional packages.
During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 11pm, a night market with on-site open-air catering completes the annual market with its friendly, country feel.
Producers cook their produce and offer meals on site or to take away.
Since summer 2020, the market has been held in the Lavoir parking lot at the bottom of the village.
Annual Sunday market
On the Place de la Libération in the center of the village, a weekly market enlivens local life and commerce all year round, every Sunday morning from 9am to 1pm.
Here you'll find all the regional produce that characterizes the Périgord Noir region (foie gras, farmhouse preserves, fruit and vegetables, dairy products, etc.) offered by local producers.
Other local and international merchants offer a wide range of food, bazaar and other products.
Truffle market from December to February Sunday mornings
In the town hall meeting room.
