Sunset Perch is positioned to capture the most dramatic evening light over the Dordogne gorges. Guests who appreciate colorful sunsets and long golden-hour views will find this cabin particularly rewarding. The perch-like setting creates a sense of elevation and perspective, allowing you to watch the valley transform as the sun lowers behind distant ridges. The cabin follows our off-grid philosophy: solar panels supply the lighting you need in the evening while maintaining an undisturbed night-time environment. There is no mains electricity, which encourages guests to embrace a slower pace, enjoy conversations, board games, or simply listen to the forest as darkness falls. Breakfast is included and served with care—fresh bread and house jam, organic local yogurts, homemade treats, and hot and cold beverages—to fuel your morning exploration. To enhance your stay, optional services include the Gourmet Terroir menu for two, delivered warm to your cabin with an aperitif and a bottle of wine, and the seasonal Menu Plaisir Estival during July and August. The Pack Romantique can be added for special moments: silk petals, candles, and a half-bottle of wine will be waiting on arrival. Sunset Perch is conveniently located for outdoor activities: immediate access to hiking trails, a nearby via ferrata for adventurous guests, and the possibility of ULM flights offering aerial panoramas of the Dordogne Valley. Historic villages and family activities, such as medieval reenactments at Tours de Merle, are within driving distance for memorable day trips. Pets are accepted. Guests meet at the Bourg of Saint-Martial-Entraygues for scheduled check-in times starting at 16:00, and checkout is at 11:00 the following day. Hosts Caroline and Clément will greet you, share local recommendations, and ensure your stay is as relaxing or active as you desire.

Caroline et clément
We are Caroline and Clément. We met in Germany, traveled together in South America and decided to settle in Corrèze to start an adventure with 2 (well 4 and soon 5), we dreamed of working together in a healthy, natural and preserved environment. We really "fell under the charm" of the site and of these 4 cabins and thus took again in 2019 the adventure started by our predecessors Camille and Julie. We love the exchanges with our guests, we do our best to be at the service of the people we welcome to make their stay a unique moment of relaxation (but also of greediness with our homemade breakfast and lunch baskets).
We look forward to showing you the Correze part of the Dordogne Valley and the breathtaking view from our cabins.
Enjoy a climbing course over the Dordogne with Tibetan bridge, monkey bridge, 4 workshops with different levels of difficulty.
Enjoy a 35-minute microlight flight over the Dordogne for just 90 euros, taking off near the cabins.
Breakfast included in the price of the overnight stay, consisting of bread with homemade jam, organic yoghurt from our local producer, homemade delicacies, hot and cold drinks.

Gourmet Terroir menu: hot meal delivered to your room at 76 euros; for 2 people, with aperitif and bottle of wine, starter (Salad of smoked duck breast with cantal entre-deux and roasted walnuts, topped with fig and foie gras), main course (Duck parmentier au gratin with Cantal cheese), gourmet dessert of the day (depending on season).
Plaisir estival menu (available in July and August): cold meal delivered to your room at €37 for 2 people, with seasonal variations of: savory tart with mixed salad, cheese (Cantal, St Nectaire) and a gourmet dessert of the day (extra charge: €5 per person).
Romantic Pack: Make the most of your stay with a romantic ambience to declare your love for her. Silk rose petals, half a bottle of wine and candles await you on arrival at 22€.

For hiking enthusiasts, there are numerous footpaths in the area, including one that passes right by the cabins and runs alongside the Dordogne River.
For thrill-seekers, there's also a free via Ferrata at the foot of the cabins, and microlight flights over the Dordogne valley. Twenty minutes from the cabins, there's also an accrobranche site (for young and old).
For sightseeing enthusiasts, there are several listed sites: some of the most beautiful villages in France (Collonges-la-Rouge, Turenne, Curemonte), the Tours de Merle (medieval ruins). If you drive an hour further, you can discover Rocamadour.
For family stays: a wide range of activities for children, including medieval jousting at Tours de Merle, discovering life in the Middle Ages at the Moyen-Age farms, life in prehistoric times at the Musée de l'Homme de Néandertal, horse-riding, donkey-riding, gabarre-riding, educational trails...
For sightseeing enthusiasts, there are several places listed among France's most beautiful villages, such as Collonges-la-Rouge, Turenne and Curemonte, as well as the medieval ruins of the Tours de Merle. If you're up for a little more driving, Rocamadour is just an hour away.
If you're a family, there are plenty of activities for children, such as medieval jousting at the Tours de Merle, where you can learn about life in the Middle Ages. You can also visit medieval farms to learn more about the era, or discover prehistoric life at the Musée de l'Homme de Néandertal. Horse-riding, donkey-riding, gabarre rides and educational trails are also available.
