La Parenthèse cabin is a thoughtfully designed hideaway offering privacy, comfort, and easy access to the cultural and gastronomic riches of Bergerac. Located only 2 km from the town center, the cabin sits at the end of a quiet lane and provides an independent entrance and a private parking spot. The interior blends contemporary amenities with a cozy atmosphere: enjoy air conditioning, a 40" TV, a minibar, a kettle for tea or coffee, reliable Wi‑Fi, and a spacious Italian-style walk-in shower with a separate toilet and basin. Fresh bed linen and towels are supplied for every stay. The cabin’s highlight is its optional wellness area, accessible directly from the private terrace. This dedicated space features a spa, a sauna, a shower, and a small seating bench, creating a perfect environment for relaxation. Guests may reserve the wellness area in advance or upon arrival for €50 per day, making the cabin an excellent choice for romantic escapes, anniversary stays, or simply a personal recharge away from daily stress. Breakfast at La Parenthèse is a restful ritual: a generous basket of mainly organic products from local producers, including some homemade items, is delivered so guests can eat on the terrace or inside as they prefer. For those who want to explore local dining, Bergerac offers a wide selection of restaurants and a lively market on Wednesdays and Saturdays where you can sample foie gras, cèpes, truffles, and other regional specialties. Beyond gastronomy, the cabin is a gateway to the Dordogne’s attractions. Visit vineyards producing Monbazillac, Pécharmant, and Rosette wines, tour historic châteaux like Monbazillac or Bridoire, or enjoy river activities such as gabarre or canoe trips on the Dordogne. Active visitors will find hiking trails, a nearby aquatics center, golf courses, and options for electric mountain bikes or scooter rentals. Practical information: check-in from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM (late arrival possible on request), check-out by 11:00 AM. Pets are not accepted. Bicycles are available on request. La Parenthèse offers a calm, private retreat with authentic local touches—an ideal base to explore Bergerac and the surrounding Dordogne countryside.

The town of Bergerac, classified as a Town of Art and History, offers you a maze of streets and squares where you can discover half-timbered houses, pointed windows... for a trip back in time.
Discover the Maison des Vins, the Recollets cloister, the church of Saint Jacques... and, of course, Edmond Rostand's famous hero Cyrano de Bergerac!
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, you can stroll through its famous market and sample local gastronomy such as foie gras, ceps, truffles, duck...
As soon as you leave town, you'll come across vineyards inviting you to visit and taste the fine local wines (Monbazillac, Pécharmant, Rosette...).
The many surrounding châteaux will also open their doors to you, including the famous Château de Monbazillac, the resurrected Château de Bridoire and the original Château de Mounet Sully.
You'll be enchanted by the Dordogne River as it flows through the town, either by gabarre or canoe, or by the greenway that runs alongside it from Lalinde to Prigonrieux, accessible on foot or by bike.
For the more sporty, there are numerous hiking trails, Bergerac's Aqualud aquatic center, Les Vigiers or Les Merles golf courses, electric mountain bike rentals and electric scooter rides.
